2019 Vulkanland Steiermark DAC Ried Kirchenegg Chardonnay trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Relatively cool, firm, somewhat nutty, mushroomy and finely vegetal scent of yellow fruits with slightly buttery, blackberry and herbal nuances. Clear, fine-juicy fruit with delicately creamy, fine, lively acidity, hints of light wood and above all smoky tones with air, has some grip, good persistence, green tobacco and blackberries in the background, rather dark minerality, very good, slightly warm finish.
