2020 Ried Heideboden Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart, nutty and somewhat sooty aroma of ripe predominantly black berries with tobacco and earthy notes as well as a hint of beetroot. Tart dark fruit with slightly bitterish, again somewhat sooty wood, some bitter chocolate and coffee grounds, crumbly-sandy, slightly drying tannin, some persistence, toasty tones, some salt in the background, good to very good finish, only a little drying again.
