2019 Ried Ungerberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart, firm aroma of ripe black berries with tobacco wood flavours, a little smoke and soot as well as dried herbal hints. Firmly woven, again tart black fruit with smoky, toasty and hints of sooty wood flavours, juniper and peppery spice on the palate, persistent, some bite, medium power, salty minerality in the background, some depth, very good, taut, tart, still slightly drying finish with black berries, smoke and again some dark ethereal spice.
