2022 Rauenthal Nonnenberg Riesling Monopol, Rheingau, Germany

Cool, somewhat vegetal and almost a little earthy nose with restrained yellow fruity notes, especially reminiscent of vineyard peach, delicate barrel tones, lemon balm and mineral hints. Finely juicy, not completely dry, cool fruit, lively, polished acidity, delicate grip and moderate barrel tones, dried-vegetable on the palate, somewhat nutty and again slightly earthy, persistent, certain depth, a hint of dark berries in the background, stony-mineral tones, very good, firm finish.
