2020 Rauenthal Nonnenberg Riesling Monopol, Rheingau, Germany

Cool, bright, a touch herbal and delicately floral nose with restrained yellow fruity aromas and minerality. Very tightly woven, lean, at the same time dense and quite juicy fruit, lively, fine acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, intense minerality, herbal and again also floral aromas, a hint of dark berries, persistent, good depth, elegant style and yet in its own way compelling, very delicate sweetness, gooseberry notes, very good, tight, juicy and distinctly mineral finish with plenty of tension and pull. Has time, even if it is already hard to resist.
