2019 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Mitterberg Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Clear, quite polished, youthful blueberry and blackberry nose with cherry aromas, herbs, a touch of tobacco and juniper. Quite juicy, partly preserved black fruit with almost a little sweet melting, lots of bitter chocolate and some coffee, crumbly-sandy tannin, persistent, lots of power and noticeable but integrated alcohol, some liquorice, very good, quite juicy and chocolaty, again slightly sweet finish with juniper and herbal nuances.
