2014 trocken Quattro, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly tart nose, light herbaceous and dried floral notes, black berries and cherries, pepper and some bell peppers, leathery notes, hint of licorice, earthy and mineral traces. Ripe, juicy, fairly tart fruit on the palate, dark spicy oak and some sooty notes, licorice and more pepper, dried hebs in the background, good substance and persistence, tarry traces, some dark chocolate, pencil shavings, some depth, still young, partly candied black fruit and noticeable toasted noteson a very good finish. Needs time to mature.
