2021 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Zwickl Grauburgunder trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm, somewhat vegetal to herbaceous, nutty and slightly bacony nose with notes of pomaceous and stone fruit as well as a hint of smoke and dried mushrooms. Polished, juicy, ripe fruit with a slightly sweetish melt, lively yet fine acidity, delicate tannic grip, barrel wood in the background, a hint of butter and resinous herbs, chalky tones, very good finish with a certain alcohol warmth.
