2020 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Schrotter Grauburgunder Reserve trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm, slightly tobacco, somewhat nutty and vegetal to herbaceous nose with pomaceous and stone fruit notes as well as a hint of dark berries and dried flowers and rather light oak notes. Ripe, firm, not quite dry fruit with melting, but also grip, a hint of nut butter and bacon, fine acidity, good persistence, smoky and slightly vanilla wood notes in the background, clear minerality, certain depth, hints of wild berries and cinnamon on a very good, slightly warm finish.
