2007 Süd-Steiermark Ried Höchleit'n Morillon Trockenbeerenauslese süß, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Clear nose, candied and partly dried pomaceous fruit, some caramel, delicate vegetal notes and some honey. Very sweet candied and dried fruit on the palate, light oak and astringent tannins, elegant acidity, fairly prominent caramel again, not particularly deep, good persistence, honeyed notes on a good finish.

Editor note: Delicate nose, candied apples, herbs, bread crusts, cereals, hay and some caramel. Cool on the palate and fairly juicy, clear, elegant, preserved apricot and apple fruit, hint of melon and some citrus fruit, delicately creamy, more light herbaceous notes, light mineral traces, fairly prominent acidity provides perfect balance, attractive long finish. Shows its origins and has varietal character.
