2001 Süd-Steiermark Ried Kreuzegg Weißburgunder Eiswein süß, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Intense ripe nose, honey, flowers and pine wood, some pomaceous fruit, light volatile and lactic notes, hint of vanilla. Opulently sweet on the palate, candied yellow fruit, supported by herbs and spices and roasted notes, malted notes and sugar candy, some coffee and nougat, good persistence, good to very good finish. Much better than the first tasting sample.
