2002 Leithaberg Ried Goldberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Very deep, compact, multi-layered nose with black berries, preserved cherries and some plums, mineral notes and integrated, slightly roasted oak. Very concentrated and juicy, spicy oak, fine mature tannins with good presence, quite sweetish and creamy on the palate, roasted flavours, mineral foundation, quite compact structure, deep and persistent, still very young, very well balanced, long finish. Great example of Blaufränkisch.
