2015 trocken Köchl Verzeichnis 507, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Dried vegetal notes and some smoked bacon on the nose, earthy notes, black and a few red berries and cherries, bloody traces, some old oak. Tart, fairly dark fruit on the palate, earthy, nutty and dried vegetal notes, some old oak, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, hint of cocoa in the background, fairly good substance and persistence, hint of tobacco, very slightly rustic style, slightly astringent again on a good to very good finish.
