2007 Leithaberg Blaufränkisch trocken Föllig, Burgenland, Austria

Polished nose, vanilla and coconut, preserved mixed berries, dried herbs and mineral traces. Tart, polished dark fruit on the palate, prominent spicy oak, more vanilla and coconut, medium-fine tannins, slightly astringent, full-bodied, good persistence, very modern style, which detracts slightly from the origin, mineral notes in the background, slightly sandy, astringent notes on an otherwise good to very good finish. Needs time to develop.
