2020 Carnuntum DAC trocken "Carnuntum", Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Tart, slightly smoky nose of black and red berries with moderate barrel notes, a hint of bacon, floral nuances, dried vegetal and mushroomy notes as well as a little bay leaf and juniper. Cool, tart, juicy, fresh fruit with fine, youthful tannins and an acidic bite, slightly smoky and nutty barrel tones on the palate, juniper and bay leaf again, good persistence, bacony nuances in the background, salty tones, very good, tart, juicy and spicy finish with bite.
