2014 Spätburgunder Grand Duc -Reserve-, Versteigerungswein, Ahr, Germany

Tart nose, spicy oak, tobacco, vegetal notes, partly preserved ripe red and black berries, some plums, tobacco and leather. Firm, juixy red and black fruit on the palate, smoky, lightly toasted oak, dried mushrooms, tar and tobacco, lively acidity, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, hint of bacon and some malted notes in the background, fresh coriander, some dried herbs, prominent cool, salty mineral notes, parsley, still young, quite concentrated, some depth, very juicy on a very good finish. Could be sensational with lamd prepared with oriental spices.,
