The winery is located in the municipality of
Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of
Neusiedlersee (Austria). The vineyards comprise 19 hectares of vineyards scattered over 44 plots along the Wagram and the plateau of the Parndorfer Platte from Weiden am See via Gols to Mönchhof. They are 90% planted with the red varieties Zweigelt,
Blaufränkisch, Blauburgunder, Merlot and St. Laurent, and 10% with the white varieties Weißburgunder and Chardonnay. The young winemaker Claus Preisinger gained practical experience in South Tyrol, in California and as a laboratory assistant at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in
Vienna. Afterwards he worked for three years with "John" Nittnaus as "Assistant Winemaker", in whom he also sees his great mentor. He sees himself as an absolute terroir winemaker. Special attention is paid to maximum physiological ripeness, the grape harvest takes place in grape-friendly 10 kilogram crates. The traditional vinification takes place in open vats, partly made of French oak, with
spontaneous fermentation, long maceration and long ageing on
fine yeast. With the vintage 2000 the first own wine was produced. The flagship of the house is the red wine cuvée "Paradigma", which is made from the three varieties Zweigelt,
Blaufränkisch and Merlot. The winery is a member of the
Pannobile wine growers' association.
