Smoky, nutty and a hint of tobacco on the nose, partly preserved yellow fruit, mixed pickles, mustard gherkins, pepper, curry, mushrooms, chanterelles and a hint of bacon. Quite firm, bone-dry, rather cool fruit, nutty, smoky and slightly dried-vegetable to tobacco flavours, chalky-salty mineral notes, some yeast, white bread and light barrel tones, a little yellow spice, good persistence, a hint of ginger and fine pepper spiciness, very good, firm, tart, again rather cool finish with juice and yellow spice. Animating.
