2018 Brut Nature "Pinot Prestige" (Deg.:08/2023), Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm, yeasty nutty and somewhat herbaceous-vegetable aroma with citrus aromas, a hint of stone fruit, some mushrooms and a little root vegetables. Tart, tightly knit fruit with yeasty, nutty and again slightly vegetable tones, fine mousseux, some grip of crumbly tannin, mushrooms and herbs on the palate, good persistence, black berry tones in the background, a little tobacco and smoke, also dark ethereal spice reminiscent of cubeb pepper, quite distinct minerality, a hint of coffee, very good, tart-juicy finish with grip and bite.
