2015 St. Laurent trocken François, Rheinhessen, Germany

Clear, somewhat herbal and a hint of smoky aroma of more black than red berries and clearly cherries with moderate, somewhat tart-nutty barrel notes and peppery nuances. Ripe, somewhat developed, juicy fruit with crumbly, only very slightly sandy tannins and a fine acid bite, persistent on the palate, has warming alcohol, but also cooling ethereal notes, again restrained barrel tones, a little herbs and pepper, mineral hints in the background, very good, juicy and tart-spicy finish.
