2020 Thüngersheim Johannisberg Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Rothlauf", Franconia/Franken, Germany

A trace developed, clearly vegetal scent with restrained yellow fruity aromas, smoky and petrol traces as well as slightly earthy hints. Quite juicy, clear fruit with tart vegetal to herbal spice and again a little smoke, delicately nutty on the palate, a hint of currants, lively acidity, good persistence, grip of fine sandy tannin, salty and stony minerality, very good finish with bite and grip. Has gained weight.
