The winery is located in the municipality of Frickenhausen (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of
Franken. The estate was established in 1976 through the marriage of two master winemakers Reimund Stumpf and Carmen Bickel, who united their two vineyards. The vineyards comprise nine hectares of vineyards in the individual locations
Fischer and
Kapellenberg (Frickenhausen), as well as
Johannisberg and
Scharlachberg (Thüngersheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner (30%), Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Rieslaner and Traminer, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Domina and Cabernet Dorsa. Integrated, nature-orientated winegrowing is practised consistently. The vinification takes place in the modern cellar building in Thüngersheim. The white wines are aged exclusively in steel tanks, the red wines since 1994 in barriques. There are three lines according to the
VDP classification model. Fine spirits (marc, William, plum) are also produced. Great importance is attached to the combination of wine and culinary experiences with special events. The winery is a member of the
VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
