1999 Thüngersheim Johannisberg Domina trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Deep ruby to garnet red, slightly lighter at the rim. Quite intense spicy oak, aroma of black berries, plums, baked black fruits and some smoky notes. Juicy, full-bodied fruit, lots of cool, smoky oak, good acidity, firm structure, quite persistent on the palate, powerful body, some smoke and alcohol in the background, attractive finish.
