2019 trocken "Cabernet Merlot", Burgenland, Austria

Slightly warm, somewhat nutty, mushroomy and tobacco aroma of partly preserved mixed berries with a hint of cherries, cedary notes and a hint of meat juice, marzipan and tomato paste. Tart, quite firm fruit with roasted and nutty wood flavours, ripe, fine sandy tannins, some persistence, leather and macadamia nut in the background, chalky tones, very good finish with noticeable alcohol and slightly drying wood.
