2018 Zweigelt Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Warm, somewhat nutty and woody-spicy aroma of ripe black berries and cherries with smoky nuances, a hint of tobacco, bacon and bread crust. Ripe, warm, tart-juicy fruit with lots of smoky and somewhat nutty wood, tobacco, hints of bacon, pepper and a little dried herbs, present, slightly drying tannins, some bite, good persistence, lots of strength and noticeable alcohol, slightly sooty wood bitterness, salty tones in the background, good to very good, alcohol-rich and slightly drying finish.
