Tart nose, nutty, smoky, spicy oak, red and black berries, hint of bacon, whiff of cherries and cocoa. Dark fruit on the palate, sooty, toasted oak, dried herbs, some licorice and coffee grounds, fairly prominent tannins, light acid bite, slightly astringent, full-bodied, slightly bitter, some ashes, coffee and astringent tannins on a good finish.
