The winery is located in the municipality of Oberloiben in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wachau. A guesthouse with two flats and a wine tavern are attached. The farm is run by Wolfgang and Waltraud Bäuerl. The vineyards, which are partly located in a nature reserve, cover 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the Burgstall, Kellerberg, Kreutles and Loibenberg vineyards in the municipalities of Dürnstein and Loiben. They are planted exclusively with white wine varieties, namely Grüner Veltliner (55%), Riesling (35%) and Muskateller (10%). Organic viticulture is practised with, for example, year-round cover crop. Only healthy, physiologically ripe grapes are harvested in several selective stages. In the cellar, non-invasive gentle processing takes place with as little pumping and filtration as possible. The premium wines of the house include various Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners from different vineyards in the Vinea Wachau quality classes (Steinfeder, Federspiel, Smaragd). Sweet wines account for about 10% of the production. Around 25,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Noble brandies (wine) are also produced. The winery is a member of the Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus winegrowers' association.
