2017 Extra Brut Pinot Cuvée "Ludwig's", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, clearly yeasty and nutty aroma with pome fruit notes and a little mushroom as well as tobacco nuances. Firmly woven, quite dry fruit, clearly yeasty and again also nutty, slightly planty to herbal tones, very fine mousseux and some grip, lasting, good substance and some depth, salty hints in the background, also red berry tones, quite complex, very good, tight, tart-juicy finish. Very skilful.
