2022 Westhofen Morstein Riesling trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Herbal-vegetable, still very slightly nutty and yeasty and a hint of smoky aroma of citrus fruit and peaches with floral and mineral nuances. Quite firm, juicy, not quite dry fruit, lively, fine acidity and some grip, fresh herbaceous flavours and a hint of spring onion on the palate, smoky and yeasty traces, some yellow spice, quite clear mineral tones in the background, very good, sweetish-juicy and hint of tobacco on the finish, starts with noticeable tension, but then softens a little with air. Better not to keep it forever.
