2021 Südsteiermark DAC Kitzeck-Sausal Riesling trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Tart, somewhat vegetal to herbaceous citrus nose with stone fruit notes, peach skin, hint of pomaceous fruit, nuts and a hint of yellow, almost tobacco-like spice. Fairly firm, tart, bright fruit, yeasty and clearly dried vegetal tones, relatively lively acidity, some grip, nutty traces, also a little yeast, certain persistence, good to very good, tart finish with a certain phenolic character.

Best to drink: 2024-2026+. What our ratings mean
