2023 Hallgarten Schönhell Riesling Auslese VDP.Grosse Lage, Rheingau, Germany

Light, delicate floral, light almondy and vegetal to herbaceous nose, some candied citrus fruit, hint of dark berries, hint of peach skin. Clear, very sweet, relatively concentrated fruit with nuances reminiscent of maple syrup, fine acidity, has some grip, good persistence, clear, salty and chalky minerality, light flowers and rock candy in the background, certain depth, very good to long, firm, finely juicy finish with bite and plenty of tart minerality.
