2019 Carnuntum DAC Göttlesbrunn trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Youthful, firm and quite deep, somewhat smoky aroma of ripe more black than red berries with sour cherries, a little herbal notes reminiscent of marjoram, some tobacco and black olives. Ripe, juicy, youthful fruit, rather fine tannin and some bite, restrained power, smoky and bitter-chocolate flavours, also coffee, hints of olives, capers and juniper, persistent, good substance, very good, firm, tart and smoky-roasty finish with salt in the background.
