2007 Carnuntum Cabernet Sauvignon trocken Bärenreiser, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Restrained nose, still somewhat closed, but also slightly perfumed, berries, touch of bell peppers, herbs and dark chocolate. Polished, cool, delicately tart blackberry and red currant fruit on the palate, prominet vegetal and delicate herbaceous notes, more dark chocolate, fairly prominent fine-grained tannins, becomes more complex and long with aeration, slightly astringent on a good finish. Needs some time to mature.
