2015 Ried Marienthal Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart, somewhat dried floral, tobacco and wood spice, also slightly fleshy-animalic nose of black and a little red berries with cedary, peppery and earthy notes and, especially with air, also clearly cherries. Ripe, juicy, somewhat compote fruit with tobacco and toasty wood spice, clearly spicy on the palate, warm and strong alcohol, tobacco aromas, juniper, anise and cardamom, again also some meat and bacon, certain depth, salty hints, rather powerful style, much melting and certain sweetness, sooty notes, very good, warm finish
