2007 Leithaberg Ried Neugebirge Cabernet Franc trocken Große Lage, Burgenland, Austria

Slightly perfumed nose, very ripe black berries and preserved cherries, coconut, tart herbaceous notes, earthy and mineral traces and light smoky notes. Firm and juicy on the palate, more very ripe fruit, spicy coconut, sweetish oak, smoky notes, fairly prominent and very fine tannins, very full-bodied and creamy, good persistence and depth, still totally undeveloped, minty notes and some chocolate in the background, more earthy and mineral notes on a very good long finish.
