2004 Leithaberg Ried Marienthal Blaufränkisch trocken Große Lage, Burgenland, Austria

Lots of new oak on the nose, vanilla and sweetish roasted aromas, also some bread, as well as ripe black berries and some plums. Slightly juicy with sweetish spicy oak, fairly moderate, ripe, slightly astringent tannins, quite soft, slightly superficial style, light buttery notes, full-bodied, not particularly deep, sweetish roasted aromas and vanilla on a slightly astringent finish.
