2022 Großheubach Bischofsberg Merlot trocken ***, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, quite tart, slightly tobacco and dried herbaceous aroma of ripe black berries with cedary nuances and a hint of pepper, meat, paprika and tomato paste. Tart, juicy dark fruit, tobacco, somewhat smoky and cedary notes, present, fine sandy tannins, dried herbs on the palate, a hint of tomato paste and black olives, salty-mineral notes in the background, quite firm, very good, tart, juicy, grippy and spicy finish.
