2021 Großheubach Bischofsberg St. Laurent trocken ***, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear red and black berry nose with nutty aromas, some tobacco, undergrowth, leather, herbs and cocoa. Ripe, rather dark, tart fruit, smoky, nutty and cocoa-spicy wood, some bite, crumbly-sandy tannins, a certain power and persistence, bacon-meaty nuances in the background, salty hints, again a little chocolate, very good, juicy and spicy finish, again with bite.
