2021 Großheubach Bischofsberg Frühburgunder trocken ***, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly smoky and earthy-vegetable nose of red and black berries with herbaceous nuances and a hint of tobacco ash. Slender fruit with vegetal to herbal aromas and a little green pepper, crumbly-sandy tannins, slightly earthy, barrel-woody and peppery tones, again some ash in the background, then also chocolate, plummy tones, certain persistence, a little ethereal spiciness in the background, salty notes, good to very good, slightly bitter finish.
