2016 Großheubach Bischofsberg Riesling trocken The First, ***, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart nose, prominent vegetal and herbaceous notes, lgiht floral notes, light yellow fruit, hint odf dark berries. Light-bodied, slightly sweetish fruit on the palate, light yeasty, vegetal, floral and nutty notes, elegant acidity, light tannic touch, hint of mushrooms, fairly persistent, good, slightly sweetish finish. Has not quite delivered on the promise seen in its youth.
