2014 Großheubach Bischofsberg Pinot Noir trocken Réserve, ***, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Fairly open nose, light smoky notes, dried flowers, preserved red and some black berries, sugar candy, dark, slightly sooty oak, cardamom, cocoa, coffee and peppery traces. Straightforward, fairly juicy red and some black fruit on the palate, dark smoky, toasted oak, light acid bite, fine sandy tannins, still very slightly astringent, prominent tobacco, hint of mushrooms and bacon, touch of mint, light toasted notes, slightly jammy again on a good to very good finish.
