Tart nose, moderate oak, hint of tobacco, predominantly black berries, prominent bell peppers, hint of pesto, dried tomatoes and a whiff of licorice. Ripe, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, nutty and earthy notes, hint of bacon, prominent preserved bell peppers, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, earthy and mineral notes in the background, very slightly astringent on a very good tart, juicy finish.
