2015 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken aus dem Cabinetkeller, Rheingau, Germany

Light smoky, toasted oak on the nose, light malted notes, red berries, some cherries and a hint of cassis, dried herbs and a hint of tobacco, hint of bacon, fairly prominent mineral notes, whiff of cinnamon. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, spicy oak, cinnamon and cloves, malted traces, predominantly well-integrated fine sandy tannins, very slightly astringent, good substance and persistence, light salty notes in the background, hint of caramel and sugar candy, some depth, still young, hint of tobacco, light vegetal notes, more light malted and toasted notes on a very good, ripe, juicy and very spicy finish.
