Quite a firm nose of ripe pomaceous fruit with clear, light, nutty and hints of smoky wood spice, a little vanilla, butter and light tobacco. Ripe, fairly firm, melting, tart fruit, again light, smoky and nutty wood, fine acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, certain power and depth, salty and chalky notes, very good, firm, tart-juicy and spicy finish.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
