2006 Carnuntum Syrah trocken Pegasos®, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Fairly open red berry and plum nose, on the other hand also slightly muted with tarry notes, gains depth with aeration, has typical peppery and prominent mineral notes. Fairly cool red berry fruit on the palate, slightly tart cherries and herbaceous components, has some substance, but not (yet)a lot of depth, slightly closed and restrained, salty mineral notes and some more black pepper, tannins still slightly astringent, very persistent, typical and refreshing, very good finish.
