2003 Carnuntum trocken Franz Josef, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Cool mineral nose, black berries and delicate red berries, cherries, smoky notes. Prominent oak on the palate, overripe fruit with malted notes, predominatly black berries, roasted notes, medium fine tannins, chocolate, very creamy with high alcohol, not particularly deep, good finish.

Editor note: Preserved red and black berries on the nose, cherries, spicy roasted oak and vanilla notes. Quitesoft in the mouth, ripe fruit and lots of roasted oak, chocolate, fairly moderate tannins, delicate lactic notes, not particularly deep, attractive to good finish.
