Deep garnet showing some maturation. Very firm, cool nose, blackcurrants, mint and coconut, roasted spicy oak. Lots of smoky, roasted oak, and lots of fine, still dry tannins, fruit pushed into the background, has body and substance, good persistence on the palate, quite a long finish. Some very good potential, but the oak is rather dominant.

Best to drink: 2007-2012. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Translate to English Etwas animalischer, auch deutlich holzwürziger Duft nach reifen, teils eingemachten schwarzen Beeren und etwas Kafee mit getrocknet-pflanzlichen Anklängen und einem Hauch Bitterschokolade. Reife, saftige, geschliffene Frucht im Mund, holzwürzig, bitterschokoladio9g und wieder mit Kaffeenoten, etwas Pfeffer und Paprika im Hintergrund, schmelzig, dicht und nachhaltig, modern, aber hervorragend gemacht, gewisse Tiefe, harmonisch, noch immer frisch, sehr guter Abgang.
