2021 Wachau DAC Ried Axpoint Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm, tart, rather restrained, peppery and slightly herbal scent with fine vegetal aromas, especially reminiscent of celery and only a hint of yellow fruit. Ripe, tangy, very tightly knit fruit, relatively present acidity and lots of grip from ripe tannin, herbal nuances and avocado on the palate, also pepper again, persistent, intense, tart, salty minerality, good depth, has power and substance but no heaviness, smoky nuances, very good, firm, again tangy finish with juice, spice and grip.
