2015 D.O. Montsant "Naixement", Catalunya, Spain

Bottle image in HD without watermark

Firm, lively and quite deep, smoky and herbaceous aroma of ripe predominantly dark berries and a little cherry with plum tones, pepper, smoke, cedary aromas and tobacco. Firm, tart. juicy dark fruit, some toasty and nutty wood spice, clearly partly dried Mediterranean herbs on the palate, a little juniper and pepper, quite present, still youthful tannin, persistent and powerful on the palate, multilayered, good depth, cocoa notes in the background, very good to long, quite juicy and ethereal-spicy finish with bite.
