Reife, saftige, teils eingemacht wirkende Frucht mit nussigen und kakaowürzigen Holzaromen, jugendliches, dabei überwiegend mürbes Tannin, gute Substanz, Schmelz und Wärme, leicht kräuterige Nuancen im Hintergrund, erdige bis mineralische Anklänge, ein Hauch schwarzer Oliven, etwas Tabak, wird an der Luft ein wenig trocknender, sehr guter Abgang.

DO area in the Spanish region of Catalonia. The former Tarragona sub-area "Falset" was highly classified in 2001 under the new name Montsant. It encloses the Priorato DOCa area like a belt. These two areas are among the oldest and, already in the Middle Ages, one of the most important wine-growing regions in Catalonia. The vineyards cover more than 2,000 hectares of vines on the slopes of the Montsant massif at an altitude of 200 to 700 metres above sea level in 17 municipalities.
